This tool is meant for reading, repurposing, or studying a video's content as continuous text. If you need timestamped captions, you can use YouTube's own "Show transcript" panel directly under the video player.
Not every creator enables custom subtitles/captions, and automatic speech recognition (auto-generation) is not always available for every video or language combination (especially with low audio quality or music).
Auto-generated captions are created through machine learning algorithms and can contain transcription errors, especially with strong accents, specialized technical jargon, or significant background noise. Manually uploaded captions (when available) are curated by creators and are generally far more reliable.
